"Let me start with the pros. For those looking for a unique escape, Hyde's design is truly one-of-a-kind, perfect for meditation and reflection. The bedding is quite comfortable (though it's still just a sheet, which is annoying). It's hard to find a hotel with such a distinctive design in Australia; for a moment, I felt like I was back in a major Chinese city. The location is also excellent, a quiet spot amidst the hustle and bustle of the CBD. Now for the cons. 1. The cleanliness was poor. I was given a corner room, which was spacious and had good light from two sides, but it was clear it hadn't been cleaned regularly. There were stains on the desk, and dust covered the countertops, floor, and carpet. 2. I couldn't open the windows during the day due to a smoke smell. At night, the noise of garbage trucks was inescapable, along with a foul odor. Because of this, I requested a room change in the early morning. They handled the room change quickly, which was better than other hotels."
